For the last twelve years, the comic has been pretty much unchanged...

..and of course I could go on doing it that way - but I think it's time for a change. Up to now, I've been imposing my own "PG" rating to the comic - which means judicious use of camera angles and censoring language - and drawing the comic in B&W/greyscale. But many of my longtime readers have asked what the comic would be like if I were limited to what my publisher (Keenspot) allows, and not my own rating? Well, the comic wouldn't be completely changed, but it would be different! And I have been thinking for a long time of doing the comic in color. Color is a lot more fun to work with, but it takes a lot longer - and my schedule is tight as it is. So I've created an Alternate Gene Catlow page, where the readers can see some examples of the stories and artwork I've created that I haven't restricted to my usual limits. I know that a percentage of my readers like the comic exactly the way it is - but I also know many of them would welcome the changes. So now I start looking to the future of my storytelling...
