January 2001

  • 1-1 Tavatiana says the right thing
  • 1-3 Cotton says all kinds of things
  • 1-5 Cotton believes he is being tested by Fate
  • 1-8 Thade and Drent plot and scheme...
  • 1-10 ...but should do so more quietly!
  • 1-12 Meanwhile, Cotton tastes his gift leaf.. and gets a surprise!
  • 1-15 I'Brolent calls for backup, then goes to investigate
  • 1-17 Cotton is transported back in time to an ancient civilization!
  • 1-19 With his partners in place, I'Brolent makes his move...
  • 1-22 Cotton suddenly makes the connection - and Ernie confirms it
  • 1-24 Cotton thanks Tavatiana for her help - but she may not be able to help him much longer
  • 1-26 The two intruders try to make their escape!
  • 1-29 Cotton gets permission from Gene to go do something...
  • 1-31 ..but that something could get dangerous...

  • 2-2 Yes, it turned out to be dangerous.
  • 2-5 Martin is disarmed... Cotton notices something
  • 2-7 Cotton discovers the formal name for his perceptive ability
  • 2-9 The human breaks his partnership... Martin breaks the human
  • 2-12 The battle is joined on all fronts
  • 2-14 Joleen drops in
  • 2-16 Ted flies by
  • 2-19 Cotton is about to do Thade in...?
  • 2-21 Tavatiana stops him
  • 2-23 Cotton has a secret revealed to him by Tavatiana
  • 2-26 Cotton learns a great deal about controlling his rage
  • 2-28 The human, on the other hand, is still the same

    March 2001

  • 3-2 But Cotton is ready for him
  • 3-5 The human puts on the brakes
  • 3-7 Cotton speaks of the reason the human is in pain
  • 3-9 The reason the human was trying to get those with the ability out of the way
  • 3-12 Cotton aplogizes to Tavatiana
  • 3-14 Cotton discovers Joleen's full name and heritage
  • 3-16 Joleen puts her heritage to full use against the human
  • 3-19 The human has had enough and runs away! (With a few familiar faces watching)
  • 3-21 Joleen is grateful to Cotton and Tavatiana, but the premier seems to be fading...
  • 3-23 Thade and Drent are taken into custody
  • 3-26 Cotton goes up to Tavatiana's room to inform her of the proceedings
  • 3-28 Ted has folloed the human to the airport... and has found out some information about him
  • 3-30 The Mayor analyzes the info and recognizes the human as Michael Alan Avariss!

    April 2001

  • 4-2 Tavatiana and Cotton are interrupted
  • 4-4 Tavatiana keeps them from being interrupted again...
  • 4-6 ...by switching Cotton and herself into a separate time-stream!
  • 4-9 Tavatiana asks Cotton to give her a glimpse of Furriston
  • 4-11 Cotton is happy to oblige! He takes her to the Leonine Theatre
  • 4-13 They visit the Furriston Museum and see portaits of the past
  • 4-16 They view the commemorative statues in the Animen Circle
  • 4-18 Tavatiana is unused to having anyone care about her.. Cotton suggests she get used to it!
  • 4-20 Cotton offers to assist the premier in Canovia and she is overcome by his headstrong resolve
  • 4-23 Realizing that Cotton must be who he is, Tavatiana accepts his offer!
  • 4-25 Cotton and Tavatiana share a very special lapine gesture of affection
  • 4-27 Cotton and Tavatiana are interrupted again... but not for long
  • 4-30 But they have reached the limit for staying in the separate time-stream and return to her room

    May 2001

  • 5-2 Cotton realizes that he's overstayed his time! Tavatiana helps him out a little...
  • 5-4 Gene's impression of the time that Cotton's been gone has been changed by Tavatiana (and Cotton is glad)
  • 5-7 Cotton reveals to Gene and CW that he is in love!
  • 5-9 Cotton also reveals that one day he may leave Furriston
  • 5-11 Tavatiana notices for the first time that her headfur is different!
  • 5-14 Meanwhile, Michael Alan Avariss returns to Bridgeway, none too happy about the outcome of his trip to Furriston
  • 5-16 There is a human who is a friend of furries!
  • 5-18 But her friendship puts her at odds with her employer, and she leaves Bridgeway to live in Furriston
  • 5-21 Cotton's lady friend is revealed to Gene and CW
  • 5-23 Cotton asks that the Sight of the Soul be kept a secret... what he doesn't know is that it is already being spoken of...
  • 5-25 Tavatiana and Cotton work out their travel plans
  • 5-28 Gene works with a customer whose equipment is very outdated
  • 5-30 The employees are reluctant to part with their old devices, but Gene makes a strong case for new ones

    June 2001

  • 6-1 Gene makes an even better case for new devices, and the employees go for it
  • 6-4 Gene and CW make plans for after the device install, when they are contacted by Tavatiana
  • 6-6 Tavatiana asks to meet them and Cotton over the weekend, and also asks them not to tell Cotton-so that it will be a surprise
  • 6-8 Cotton is sad that he cannot contact Tavatiana, but agrees to accompany Gene and CW to the beach
  • 6-11 Billy is impressed by the sleek new machines, but feels the older devices have more heart and soul
  • 6-13 Gene, fascinated by Billy's comment, asks Tavatiana if the Sight of the Soul applies to organic beings only...
  • 6-15 Gene discovers that the Sight of the Soul doesn't apply to organic beings only!
  • 6-18 Having discovered that devices may have some form of a 'soul', Gene arranges for the old machines to be saved from being scrapped
  • 6-20 Cotton, at the beach, discovers that Tavatiana planned to surprise him (to his relief and delight!)
  • 6-22 Gene joins the others at the beach to find Cotton and Tavatiana enjoying each other's company
  • 6-25 Cotton and Tavatiana make their plans
  • 6-27 Gene and CatsWhisker already have their plans
  • 6-29 Cotton gets another surprise - a thank you from Maxine Gables!

    July 2001

  • 7-2 Tavatiana must leave... she says her goodbyes
  • 7-4 Meanwhile, Michael Alan Avariss works on purging all those around him sympathetic to furries, including his own son!
  • 7-6 Avariss' son, Steven, finds himself disliked both in Bridgeway and in Furriston
  • 7-9 In Furriston, Steven discovers how human children cope with the culture clash
  • 7-11 Steven speaks of the sadness he has felt being Michael Alan Avariss' son, and his desire to change his life
  • 7-13 Steven meets former Avariss employee Maxine Gables, and goes to work for her
  • 7-16 A kangaroo couple feels the influence of the cultural changes in Furriston
  • 7-18 Lloyd wants to know when things will change... Alice feels that change is already happening
  • 7-20 Lloyd and his human-hostile friend find solace in the presence of Cotton, who knows only that he seems more popular lately

    August 2001

  • 8-1 Alice tries to figure out why Lloyd is acting the way he is
  • 8-3 Alice seeks answers at the Bureau of Instinctual Information, where CW is already analyzing some instinctive troubles
  • 8-6 At that same moment, in Bridgeway, some human behavior is going very wrong, as Ted finds out.
  • 8-8 Lloyd discovers that Alice is doing a data check on his behavior, which she feels is wrong. Lloyd points out the violence in Bridgeway
  • 8-10 The violence in Bridgeway is viewed on TV by both furry and human citizens of Furriston
  • 8-13 Lloyd defuses Alice's attempt to analyze his behavior by half-admitting wrongdoing on his part
  • 8-15 Lloyd feels remorse, but not for the right things. He and Alice meet Arlo, one of the Troubadogs
  • 8-17 Arlo tells of the upcoming Grandville Days Festival. Lloyd is surprised that it will still be held
  • 8-20 Lloyd is cynical of the potential success of the Festival - Arlo suggests he keep an open mind
  • 8-22 Ted recovers from the Bridgeway violent attack
  • 8-24 Maxine discovers that Steven Avariss is considering avoiding the Festival - she encourages him to attend
  • 8-27 Meanwhile, in Canovia, the first steps toward reconstruction are being taken. Tavatiana is officially reinstated as premier
  • 8-29 Tavatiana delivers an eloquent speech to the Council as Cotton cheers her on from Furriston
  • 8-31 After the Council reconvention, Drent is surly and unrepentant. Thade can only hang his head in silent shame

    September 2001

  • 9-3 Back in Furriston, Lloyd is awakened by a shadowy figure looking in through their bedroom window
  • 9-5 Cotton is visited also by a shadowy creature, while staying up late watching TV with Ernie
  • 9-7 Late at night, the Mayor and several BII repositors venture high in the mountains above Furriston, for a meeting...
  • 9-10 ...with the shadowy creatures, who tell the group they meant no harm by their ventures into Furriston
  • 9-12 Gene picks up CW after the meeting, and tells her that Cotton has seen one of the shadow people...
  • 9-14 At the BII office, Gene and CW discuss the hazard that Cotton's awareness of these beings could pose
  • 9-17 Ted, fully recovered, is back on the job, preventing Lloyd's ursine friend from carrying out violence against humans
  • 9-19 Taken into custody, the ursine trades harsh words with an equally incarcerated (and equally hate-filled) human
  • 9-21 Furriston in general prepares for the Grandville Days Festival
  • 9-24 Gene returns from an unsuccessful search for the lost shadow-people, when CW finds both Alice and Lloyd waiting for her!
  • 9-26 Lloyd and Alice have agreed that Lloyd's behavior warranted an instinctive data check after all
  • 9-28 On their way out of the BII, Gene and CW encounter the first human to ever visit there - Maxine Gables!

    October 2001

  • 10-1 CW and Gene and CW speak to Maxine about humans and their rejection of instinct
  • 10-3 Leaving the BII office, Gene and CW discuss the hypocrisy of their societies
  • 10-5 Cotton spots one of the wandering shadowy creatures again, while those who remain at home are questioned
  • 10-8 Cotton almost puts CW and Gene on the spot, but presumes they wish to be alone, thus unknowingly avoiding a confrontation
  • 10-10 The Grandville Days Festival begins!
  • 10-12 Crowds flock to the Fairgrounds for the Festival, while Steven Avariss stays at home
  • 10-15 Charlie Dobbs, Blake and DodoModo regale the crowds, while Chaos Inc. enjoy the Brainscrambler rollercoaster
  • 10-17 Attic Rat and Otterby Shot discuss human behaviour, while Catnel and Kassy meet Sunblaze
  • 10-19 Sunblaze discovers the Chompetition, while C Eagle and Bill Pellic enjoy the Tilt-A-Whirl
  • 10-22 Deacon and Mira brag a little about their showroom-condition '65 Chariot, while Sunblaze discovers Ferris is also entered in the Chompetition
  • 10-24 CW meets ItaX at the BII booth, while Mokonapuff of Chaos Inc. tires of riding the Brainscrambler
  • 10-26 CW tells ItaX that he may one day benefit from his dual identity, while Chaos Inc. rides the Grandville Jr. RR with Telbert as the engineer
  • 10-29 ItaX joins CW, Gene and other couples for lunch, but is distracted by his mordant half sensing a trio of juveniles breaking into the Festival, up to no good
  • 10-31 Cotton and ItaX converge on the spot where the juveniles broke in, while the troublemakers themselves put on tail-bandages to make themselves look fur-friendly

    November 2001

  • 11-2 ItaX believes that the troublemakers aren't worth turning over to security - meanwhile, one of them appears to be armed!
  • 11-5 Steven is wishy-washy about attending the Festival, so his mind is made up for him
  • 11-7 The three troublemakers begin their plan, while the three Chompetition entrants begin their event
  • 11-9 Mokonapuff confounds one troublemaker with multiple images of himself
  • 11-12 Kristen plunges another troublemaker into darkness
  • 11-14 Radio commentator Bob O'Link begins his coverage of the Chompetition, while the third troublemaker is unable to find his cohorts
  • 11-16 Round one ends and the entrants take a break, while the third troublemaker is suspicious of Becca
  • 11-19 Shad goes to check on something, while the third troublemaker is forced to ask Becca for help
  • 11-21 Bob O'Link interviews a tiny spectator, while the troublemaker in darkness confronts the dark side of ItaX
  • 11-23 Cotton stops ItaX before his other self can do any damage
  • 11-26 Shad returns from tipping off Cotton, while Kristen drops her influence on the troublemaker in darkness
  • 11-28 Mokonapuff tears up her multiple images, and the first troublemaker is taken into custody - as the tiny spectator is accidentally hurled down Sunblaze's throat
  • 11-30 Becca takes the troublemaker to his friends... who are being arrested... and so is arrested himself

    December 2001

  • 12-3 The security furs seal off the area, while the tiny fur explores Sunblaze
  • 12-5 The armed (?) troublemaker is confronted by I'Brolent, while Shad attempts to coax the tiny fur out of Sunblaze
  • 12-7 I'brolent and Ted discover that the weapon the troublemaker is carrying is non-lethal, to the kid's dismay - as Ferris finds a way to evict the tiny fur
  • 12-10 The Chompetition gets back underway, as the troublemakers despair of their plan - until they see Steven Avariss in the crowd...
  • 12-12 The Chompetition seems a one-sided affair, as the formerly armed troublemaker seems to have an idea in his head (in more ways than one)...
  • 12-14 There was something in the formerly armed troublemaker's head. Something fatal...
  • 12-17 The three troublemakers' plan was, in fact, to make trouble for Steven
  • 12-19 And they intended to cause the trouble to keep Steven from being able to live peacefully in Furriston. His father enlisted the troublemakers for that purpose
  • 12-21 With the discovery of just how low his father will stoop to control his son, his son resolves with even more conviction that he will never give in
  • 12-24 The Grandville Days Festival concludes!
  • 12-26 The attendees of the Festival go their separate ways
  • 12-28 The troublemaker who threw his life away discovers that his sacrifice has only begun to cost him...
  • 12-31 Penance, Furriston's D.A, is denied the chance to defend the human attacked before the Festival began... but an even bigger occurrence takes place...
